Happy New Year!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while but things have been so busy and I’ve been working on so many things – the year flew by and now it’s 2013.  A year for change and I am so ready for it!

I will get back to posting the empowerment tarot card but instead of posting daily I will post a 3 card weekly reading (beginning middle and end).  I think you’ll like this much better and it will give you insight for the whole week all at once.

I’ve also added a 1 question 1 card and 1 question 3 card email reading that starts at only $15.00.  This is great for some quick insight or if you’re short on time – you can purchase either of them on the tarot services page.

Empowering Tarot Card for Today

The empowering tarot card for today is the Three of Wands from the Paulina Tarot deck.  This deck is beautiful and I like to read with it from time to time because it’s amazing to look at.  The deck is whimsical, full of love and magic and would be a great deck for a child.  If you collect decks the Paulina Tarot is one for your collection.

Okay now on with your card for today – Three of Wands.  Looking at the image you will see the man balancing on his globe effortlessly.  His two companions are waiting patiently for direction on moving ahead.  This card is new adventures – the man is looking out all around to decide which way to explore and explore you will.  You may choose to go in an unchartered direction but follow your intuition and remember that you can’t grow or find new things if you don’t go a different route.

Empowering Tarot Card for Today

The empowering tarot card for today is the Ten of Swords.  The element for Swords is air which represents your judgment, communication, thoughts and decisions.  The Ten of Swords is showing you that the sun is trying to peak through all the gloominess – are you going to let it through?  Whatever troubling situation you have at hand is going to be over and done but the question you need to ask yourself is this:  What got you to that point in the first place?  Generally not listening to your intuition is the answer.  When we listen to others that are negative or let other people “rain on our parade” (so to speak) then issues arise.

Are you going to let the sun shine through those clouds?  I personally love the sun and if you choose to let the sun shine on you then once your issue is over you will let it go and move forward.  You won’t look back and let whatever got you to that point get to you again.

Exercise:

Write out at least 5 affirmations about yourself for yourself.  Examples:

• I am strong
• I am beautiful
• I am healthy
• I have lots of love
• My intuition is strong

Once coming up with your affirmations (write them down) then read them every morning before you shower and every evening before you go to bed.  Have fun with it and if somebody has ever made you feel bad by saying something negative to you (ugly, fat, etc) then make sure you write down the opposite.

Remember the more you focus on your intuition the stronger it becomes.  Your intuition is an amazing gift and you should develop it and use it every chance you can.

The empowering tarot card for today is the Popess.  In most decks this card is known as the High Priestess.  Just about all of the cards I’ve been pulling for you all involve intuition in one form or another and the Popess is no different.  She is all about empowerment, intuition and wisdom.  She represents your inner voice – the deepest part of yourself and she reminds you that your inner voice is never wrong.  She holds all the answers inside of you, all you have to do is open up and listen.  The Popess is truly and empowering tarot card.

Look at the picture and see the veil behind her then look off into the water and moon.  The Popess is the guardian and all you have to do is ask for entrance – focus on the moon and the water and your intuition will grow stronger.  See the peacock – all the ‘eyes’ on the feathers symbolize knowledge and protection.

The Popess is an excellent empowering tarot card for self meditation and empowerment, I enjoy taking journeys with her and I encourage you to do so as well.  This is how I start:

• Find a relaxing place (have some relaxing music in the background if you like).
• Focus on the image of the Popess or High Priestess and see yourself gliding through the veil towards the water.
• Let yourself get into the water or stay close to it and feel your intuition opening and surrounding you.  It feels amazing!
• Focus on your intuition and let yourself stay for as long as you like.
• When you return you’ll feel refreshed.
• Enjoy your day

Remember the more you focus on your intuition the stronger it becomes.  Your intuition is an amazing gift and you should develop it and use it every chance you can.

  Empowering Tarot Card for Today

The empowering tarot card for today is the Ten of Cups. Cups are water – emotions, creativity, intuition and the Ten of Cups leads back to you and your happiness.  Your true happiness begins with you – you loving yourself and everything about you.  You can say things like “I’d be happy if ___” and fill in the blank but your true happiness comes from inside you.  If you don’t love yourself and everything about you, nothing outwardly will make you happy.

Today’s tarot card is asking you to take a look at yourself and love every inch.  Here is an exercise for you to do today:

• Stand in front of a mirror
• Talk to yourself – tell yourself how much you love yourself.  You can even talk to individual parts of your body and tell each how much you love them.

Remember once you love yourself unconditionally everything else just falls into place and nothing can shake you.  Explore your inner Diva today and nourish it.

Tarot Card for Today

The tarot card chosen for today is the Two of Staves.  I should clarify that I didn’t choose this card it wanted to be heard and popped right out of the deck.

Staves are the fiery cards – the tarot cards that are your passion.  The Two of Staves represents a passion for your creativity and ideas.  You should write down your ideas and goals that stir the passion inside of you.  Set aside some time today to think about what puts that fire inside of you and then write it all down.  It doesn’t matter if it seems as you’re rambling while writing you can make sense of it later.

Take a seat and ask yourself what drives you, what makes you get all tingly and makes you burst with excitement – what is your passion and let your pen do the work.  Once you go back and read over what you’ve written you can then break that down into goals you’d like to set for yourself.

Notice in the card how he’s got one hand open and one closed?  Which way will you turn?  Will you nurture your passion and expand on it or will you keep it buried deep inside not wanting to let it out?  The choice, as always, is yours to make.  I find when you follow your heart you are the happiest and it doesn’t lead you astray.

The Moon is a beauty.  She is very mystical and alluring – entrancing.  Today she is telling you to be more aware of everything around you.  Pay close attention to your intuition and actually listen to it.  When the Moon card comes up she shakes things up a bit.  She may alter your sleeping habits and you may have odd dreams – she is a trip to your unconscious.  Your deepest desires are coming up and if you’re brave enough to face what you discover then you will find depths of yourself you never knew were there.

Today is a great time to explore your unconscious.  It’s a new year and you have much to accomplish!  Start a journal of your dreams and thoughts – reflect on them daily and you’ll begin to explore yourself deeper.

Your tarot card for today is the Ace of Cups.  I am still using the Nigel Jackson deck and won’t bore you with repeating that each time, if I use another deck I will let you know.

Aces represent new beginnings to me and I view them as a gift.  In most decks the aces will show a hand holding up the image and this is how I view it as a gift.  The hand is handing you a gift and you should embrace it.

2012 is right around the corner so I believe this card wanted to be heard today so you can get your thoughts and actions into motion for the new year / new beginnings.  The ace of cups is a wonderful gift to start your new year with.  You’ll have new beginnings in love, emotions, creativity and intuition.  The inverted triangle in this ace of cups also represents the feminine aspect of oneself.  Find the seed and nurture it – you’ll find love all around you and it will grow bigger and brighter each day.

However the ace of cups applies to you please embrace and enjoy it.

Tarot Card for Today

I thought I would start doing something fun and start Tarot Card for Today.  I hope you enjoy.

Today I pulled out my Nigel Jackson Tarot deck which is one of my favorites.  I love the soft colors and the images are amazing.  I will go into more detail of the deck when I do a review on it but it is currently a hard deck to get your hands on.

While shuffling I was focusing on what my readers needed to know today and the Page of Cups jumped out of the deck.  I am a firm believer in signs so when a tarot card jumps out I believe it wants to be heard so here you go

Pages are all about young energy and combine that with the suit of cups and you’ve got lots of options.  Love, intuition, creativity, language, arts, etc.  When I was focusing on you and pulling this card I do believe the page of cups jumped out because you should have fun today.  Remember when you were a child and could sit and play in a room for hours?  Spend some time on you today doing something that you enjoy or something that you’ve been thinking of starting.  Paint, do some intuition exercises, have fun with a new love or rekindle the one you’ve got.  Get that feeling back of getting lost in something that you’ve always wanted to do!
